About This Blog
My name's Ashley and I'm a freelance writer and blogger. I've recently graduated from The University of Puerto Rico and, as any 23-year-old recent graduate, I have no idea what I'm doing.
Wording It Out started as a way for me to force myself to write more often. Now it's transformed into a place where I hope to connect with like-minded writers and book lovers. So here I am, writing about the writer's life through the lens of self-care and self-development.
What does 'Wording It Out' mean?
I've been using the phrase "wording it out" to describe my thinking process since I was a child. Writing is how I make sense of the world around me. It's how I come to terms with the things that have happened in my life. It's how I figure anything and everything out.
In a way, that's what I'm doing with this blog.
The difference is that instead of living the solitary writer's life and keeping it to myself, I'm reaching out to connect with you. My blog covers the aspects of the writing life that I care about most, and each post is a snippet of self-discovery.
If writing is an act of self-care for you, you're in the right place. I'm by no means an expert in writing or self-care. I'm just a writer who is learning to do both. Take from this blog what you need to live your best writing life.
